Erasing the Past

Hi everyone! I just switched hosting services, and, in the process, I lost all of my files on the old one. I'm in the process of re-uploading the past, but the blog will be in limbo for the time being. I do apologize for the inconvenience, as I'm sure this is very hard on all of you. Thank you for understanding.

The Last Fuck

Top 10 of 2010

10. Freddie Gibbs - "Fuck the World"
9. Cali Swag District - Teach Me How to Dougie"*
8. Bun B ft. Slim Thug & Play N Skillz - Ridin Slow**
7. Waka Flocka Flame ft. Roscoe Dash & Wale - "No Hands"
6. Lil B - "I'm God"***
5. Rick Ross "B.M.F." and Young Jeezy "Death Before Dishonor"****
4. Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot... The Son of Chico Dusty*****
3. Gucci Mane - "Making Love to the Money," "Normal," "Long Money," and "Yeahh (Pop Your Back) Ft. Dorrough"******
2. Taio Cruz - Dynamite*******
1. Soulja Boy ft. Gucci Mane - "Pretty Boy Swag" remix********

* I love any song that involves a dance (even though they don't actually teach you how to do it), and I think this should be played at every NBA game for years to come.

** I may have picked this one only because of the fact that Bun B wears the Supreme "Get Your Shit Together" hat during the video.

*** My research indicated that this song actually came out in late December 2009. I didn't hear it until 2010, so it counts.

**** They're tied for number five because I love them equally for the very same reason.

***** Yes, this is an album, and it's the best album of the year by a landslide.

****** I couldn't decide! I think I just mean that Gucci Mane is my number one and number three picks for 2010.

******* I do throw my hands up in the air sometimes.

Unwrapping the Dream

I think the Clinton-Washington G station was trying to tell me something the last time I was there. Like maybe I should move there? I just wish they hadn't defaced John Wall. It would have made my fantasy of him teaching me how to dougie on the subway platform more realistic.

How About Right Now

...you go to HOW ABOUT NEVER (howaboutnever.tumblr.com)

How About Never is a cell phone picture blog that Mike Ley and I started ages ago and just realized that I never posted about it here. It's happening...all the time.

Pick and Roll

While reading Playing for Keeps by David Halberstam, I came across this gem about Reggie Theus. Theus was a star player for the Chicago Bulls from '78-'84. Not only was "Rush Street Reggie" a party animal, his nick name coming from his active social life on Rush Street, he also had a a bit of a 'tude on the court:

"On occasion, Theus waved a towel over his head to incite the the crowd to take his side, and once he apparently ordered pizza from the bench during a game" (Halberstam 110).

It's really too bad that the NBA wasn't covered by the media like it is today because I'm sure this would be an amazing clip to watch. My question is, though, how did he order the pizza from the bench without a cell phone?

i took this one, and i mean it
